Frequent questions

Where are you located? Our address is 13171 Drippings Springs Rd. 63043

What is the best time to come on busy weekends?  Early is better.  Two o’clock is the busiest time.

How is parking at the venue?  Parking is difficult at the Lake Front entrance, especially on weekends.  We suggest renters park on the bigger lots across the street, at Heldman shelter or Sail Boat Cove and hike or bike to our venue since most people are there to get exercise anyway.  We request all cyclist and walkers to use the bigger lots, as this will leave more parking for kayakers and renters.

Do you have a club plan?  Yes.  For frequent customers on week days only (holidays not included).  A package of 10 passes can be purchased for $80.

Do you hold belongings?  We will hold valuables in the gazebo.  All clothes and footwear  can be left on the beach in buckets with lids.  We are not responsible for lost or stolen items on the beach.  We recommend you bring them with you or keep them locked in the car.

Do you take credit cards?  Yes.  We accept cash, Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover

Do I need a deposit?  No.  Everyone 18 years of age or older needs to bring a valid drivers license which will be held until the rental is returned in the same condition it was purchased.

How old do you have to be to rent? You must be 18 years old to sign the release of liability, or your legal guardian may sign for you. A liability release can be found on this website under “Release of Liability”.   Each time an under age  teen comes they need a new release.  The under age teen may come without a parent if they have the signed release with them.

Please be aware that when signing for your underage child or teen, you are making the decision that your child is capable of going on the water by themselves. No lifeguard is on duty at the lake.

If you are bringing a group of children or teens under the age of 18 without their legal guardian, please plan ahead and have the legal guardians sign and print the release which can be found on our website.

How far is it around the lake? There are 3.7 miles of paved trail around the 320 acre lake. An additional loop around the soccer fields adds another 1.3 miles to the trail.

Why is swimming not allowed? The decision by the County to prohibit swimming has helped keep the lake clean and healthy. Because the lake is located in such a densely populated area, allowing swimming could potentially cause contamination.  Also St. Louis County Parks does not want the liability.

What kind of equipment do you have? We rent canoes, kayaks, bicycles, and stand up paddleboards. We do not have sailboats, paddleboats, or wind surfs.
